Path to Power Political Candidate Training
The Western and Eastern Connecticut Area Labor Federations, in partnership with the national and Connecticut AFL-CIO, are hosting a Path to Power Political Candidate Training. This program is designed to teach union members how to run for public office and build power to positively influence our communities.

Topics covered include:
  • Crafting an effective campaign message
  • Developing a campaign plan
  • Fundraising strategies
  • Engaging targeted voters
  • Building a campaign team
This training is ideal for union members who are considering running for office at any level, from school board to municipal or state government.

  • Date: Saturday, April 12th
  • Time: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Location: IBEW Local 90, 2 North Plains Industrial Rd Wallingford, CT 06492
  • Registration deadline: Monday, April 7th
The training is free for union members. However, members who have declared their candidacy or have publicly expressed their intent to run for office are required to receive sponsorship from their local union.
