Required May 23, 2025 - Sept 30, 2025
A timed entry permit is necessary for each vehicle or motorcycle to drive the entire roadway all the way to the top of the mountain.
One permit is needed per vehicle or motorcycle (not per person).
A timed entry permit does NOT guarantee access to the Summit, as access is always weather permitting.
Scroll down and click "Add to Cart" then select the date and time that you are wanting to visit.
Arrive at the Gateway during your selected two-hour window. This window does not dictate the amount of time you can spend on the mountain. Enjoy your journey along the Pikes Peak Highway, pausing at scenic spots to savor the breathtaking views and explore our charming gift shops.
Admission tickets are also required. You can purchase your admission ticket online or at your time of entry at the Gateway entrance to Pikes Peak.
No refunds will be given for bad weather, closures, late arrivals, or no-shows.
May 27-June 20, uphill traffic will be held until 8:30 a.m. at Crystal Reservoir (mile 6) due to testing for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The Pikes Peak Highway will be closed June 22, 2025 for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
SUNRISE OPENINGS- Scroll down and click "Add to Cart" then select the date of the sunrise opening you wish to attend. Sunrise openings are July 12, July 18, and August 1, with gates opening at 4:30am and last entry at 6:30am. For Sept. 27 and Oct. 13 events, gates will open at 5:00am with last entry at 6:30am. Admission tickets are also required for sunrise opening events.
