Career-Technical Education Perkins Planning & Funding
The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, commonly referred to as Perkins V, is a bipartisan reauthorization of previous Carl D. Perkins federal funding. Perkins V represents the largest federal investment in career and technical education.
In the Office of Career-Technical Education, the Administrative Field Services (AFS) Team oversees the annual allocation and implementation of Perkins funds through career-technical planning district (CTPD) lead districts to support CTE delivery in the CTPD.

The new CTE Perkins Federal Indicator Review will be housed in the Data Collection application in MyOhio. This will become available on oe before April 1, 2025 and will serve as a dashboard of all federal indicators meeting or not meeting 90% of the state-identified target.
Those not meeting the 90% of the state-identified target will be prompted to complete a Local PIP survey for each not met indicator. Webinars will walk participants through this new, easier process for submitting Local PIPs and for viewing all indicator data in one location.
