Ukraine will receive EUR 4 billion from the EU under the Ukraine Facility financial instrument. The EU Council approved the decision

The Council of the European Union has approved the allocation of EUR 4 billion in loans and grants to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility financial instrument.

The funds will be disbursed for priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the State Budget.

Ukraine implemented all the measures set out in the Ukraine Plan by the end of the third quarter, which in turn opened the possibility of receiving the corresponding tranche under the instrument.

Ukraine's plan included nine indicators by the end of September 2024. Reform measures cover such areas as anti-corruption, business environment, labor market, regional policy, energy market, and environmental protection.

Under the Ukraine Facility, the State Budget of Ukraine has already received EUR 12.1 billion. The EU budget support is expected to reach EUR 16 billion in 2024.
