GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Former President Donald Trump will deliver remarks at a rally in Green Bay on Tuesday, April 2, which is Election Day in Wisconsin.

The rally will be held at the Hyatt Regency Green Bay on 333 Main Street, according to a campaign email. The doors open at 2 p.m. and Trump will give remarks at 5 p.m.

Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee for the Republican party, having won most state primaries. He is on the ballot for Wisconsin’s primary on April 2.

This is the former president’s first visit to the Badger State since 2022. Incumbent President Joe Biden has visited Wisconsin four times since January of last year.

President Biden’s re-election campaign issued this statement in response to Trump’s announced visit:

“After many visits to Wisconsin from President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democratic leaders, Donald Trump finally decided to make time to visit our state in between his busy schedule of hiding out in his country club, calling for cuts to Social Security, and calling into white supremacist radio shows to spew antisemitism. This November, Wisconsin will send him packing just like we did in 2020.”

This campaigning comes as Trump has faced a serious money crunch amid mounting legal bills while he fights four criminal indictments along with a series of civil charges.

Trump was given a reprieve Monday when a New York appeals court agreed to hold off on collecting the more than $454 million he owes following a civil fraud judgment if he puts up $175 million within 10 days.

Trump has already posted a $92 million bond in connection with defamation cases brought by the writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexual assault.
