Market Conditions It would appear we are seeing a slowdown in the market. When I refer to the market, I’m talking about local building and remodeling seems to have slowed. There seems to be less activity than we have been used to over the past 3-4 years. The commodity market is also beginning to slow as well. Prices for lumber have come down over the past several weeks where panels have gone up but have now started to print flat. The Market SPF: The SPF market has been printing down for the past several weeks according to Random Lengths, but the mills are being somewhat bullish and trying to hold. I don’t think that will happen and expect to see prices continue to come down over the next few weeks. SYP: The pine market has begun to erode over the past few weeks and will print down again on Friday. I see no signs of it beginning to go up over the next several weeks. Plywood: Plywood is flat at the moment and the mills are trying to hold on as long as possible. I think we will see some erosion starting soon. OSB: The OSB market has been the most volatile of all over the past 6 weeks and has gone up significantly. It will probably print flat on Friday but is still high and hard to get in most instances. This also affects pricing on Advantech and Zip products. Please let us know what we can do for you as well as your what your current activity level is when you talk with you’re salesman. Thanks again for allowing us to serve you. |

Product Highlight: Low Maintenance Outdoor Living |
In today’s market the outdoor space is an extension of your home’s living room or even kitchen. It helps create that outdoor oasis you see in pictures or recall a spot from your favorite vacation. While landscaping helps to give you that visual of serenity and calm, Espy is here to provide you with the foundation to last a lifetime.

Here at Espy, we carry the top brands in the market, Trex and Azek. Both companies manufacture a variety of decking to fit every type of project. All of which offer high performance, are sustainably manufactured, ease of installation, and provide long lasting beauty. Both Trex and Azek decking products will provide you with the look of a wood deck without the high maintenance of wood.
|
No deck is complete without a railing. Along with Trex and Azek railings, Atlantis Rail is another market leader in the railing segment that we proudly offer. Atlantis Rail offers a complete line of stainless steel and aluminum cable railing and glass railing systems, including the RailEasy™, HandiSwage™, Spectrum, NOVA, ORION and SunRail™ systems. This innovative collection of low maintenance railings offers unobstructed views capable of fitting any indoor or outdoor, commercial, or residential designs.
