Montana Widening Project

Monday, March 31 to Tuesday, April 1

8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Saturday, March 1 to Monday, March 31 Montana Avenue eastbound complete closure at Joe Battle Boulevard
• Montana Avenue westbound complete closure at Tierra Este/Justice intersection
• Joe Battle Boulevard northbound complete closure at Montana Avenue
• Joe Battle Boulevard southbound complete closure at Montana Avenue
• Montana Exit ramp southbound complete closure

Crews will be working on traffic switch.

Purple Heart Widening Project

Saturday, March 28 to Wednesday, April 31

Daily, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) north- and southbound alternate lane closures between Montana Avenue and Iron Medics Drive

Crews will be paving and boring in median.

Continuous closure until further notice

• Purple Heart Highway north and southbound shoulder closures from Montana Avenue to Spur 601

Crews will be widening main lanes and constructing north and southbound frontage road.

Loop 375 Widening Project

Monday March 31 to Friday April 4

Daily, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

• Americas Avenue (frontage road) northbound left lane, between Joe Rodriguez Road to Pan American Road

Crews will be working on curb repairs.

Horizon/Darrington Reconstruction Project

Monday, March 24 to Friday, April 4

Daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Horizon Boulevard (FM1281) eastbound right lane closed at Darrington Road
• Horizon Boulevard (FM1281) westbound right shoulder closed at Darrington Road

Crews will be boring conduit for future traffic signals.

Monday, March 31 to Wednesday, April 2

Daily, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Breaux Street will be completely closed.

Traffic will detour through McMahon Avenue to Kenazo Avenue

• Horizon Boulevard eastbound right lane closure between Darrington Road and Acra Court

Crews will be paving eastbound shoulder.

Continuous closure, beginning 7 a.m. Monday, March 24 through 4 p.m. Friday, April 18

• Darrington Road northbound will be closed at Roslyn Drive
• Crews will be installing new lateral utilities at Roslyn Drive, including inlets, storm drain, sewer and water laterals.

Friday, February 14 at 4 a.m. until May 2025

• Horizon Boulevard (FM1281) eastbound complete closure between Horizon Crossing to Breaux Street

Crews will be working on final subgrade, pavement operations and excavating ponding areas.

Tuesday, February 18 at 4 a.m. until December 2025

• Darrington Road southbound lanes will become two lanes two-way traffic.
• Pete La Rue Circle will follow detour entrance at Roslyn Drive and Exit Jasper Drive.

Crews will be working on final subgrade, pavement operations and milling.

I-10 Landscape & Aesthetic Project

Monday, March 31 to Friday, April 4

Daily, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• I-10 east- and westbound right lane and shoulder closure at Lee Trevino.
• Gateway East Boulevard right lane closure between Tower Trail Lane and Zaragoza Road
• Gateway West Boulevard right lane closure between Zaragoza Road and Lee Trevino Drive
• I-10 Westbound between Yarbrough Exit Ramp and Yarbrough Entrance Ramp right lane and shoulder closure
• I-10 Westbound between Zaragoza Exit Ramp and Zaragoza Entrance Ramp right shoulder closure
• Gateway East Boulevard left lane closure between Zaragoza Road and Zaragoza Entrance Ramp
• I-10 Westbound between Yarbrough Entrance Ramp and McRae Exit Ramp right shoulder closure
• I-10 Westbound McRae Exit Ramp complete closure Gateway West Boulevard left lane closure between Sumac Drive and McRae Exit Ramp

Crews will be painting concrete riprap, boring conduit & placing electrical pole, landscaping, and placing concrete riprap.

PROJECTS WITH CONTINUOUS CLOSURES

I-10 Hudspeth Safety Rest Area

Continuous closure until April 19

• I-10 east- and westbound shoulder work between Fort Hancock and McNary

Crews will be working on surface grading.

Median Concrete Barrier Project

Continuous closure until further notice

• Montana Avenue (US 62/180) east and westbound complete left lane closure between RM 124 and RM 126 (Guadalupe Peak) Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.

Closure is necessary for installation of median concrete barrier.

RM 652 Full Widening Project

Monday, March 11 until further notice

• RM 652 westbound lanes reduced to one lane two-way traffic from FM 3541 to Kimble Draw Bridge

Closure is necessary for the reconstruction of the roadway.

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects. All work is dependent upon weather conditions.
