What Drives Us
Feed the Need Northeast is a nonprofit organization with a passion for tackling the serious issue of food insecurity. We do this by combining education, engagement, and empathy into a recipe of team-building and outreach opportunities designed to leave you ready to make a difference one bite at a time.

In Connecticut alone 1 in 8 residents, or nearly 500,000 residents deal with food scarcity on a regular basis.
Nearly 1 in 6 Connecticut Children (16%) deal with food insecurity on a regular basis
88 Million meals are needed in Connecticut alone to close this gap.
How it all started.
Who doesn't love a good PBJ!
A group of volunteers was busy making 500 PBJ sandwiches for a local organization. The room was filled with chatter, laughter, engagement and a sense of purposed. I remember there thinking, "now if only my work team building events were this fun."
The three "E"'s of our mission.
Better team engagement raises worker productivity, lower absenteeism and better community awareness.
Better education brings an increased understanding of facts, stigmas and challenges of food scarcity.
More empathy brings grace, compassion and patience for all.

From on site team building sandwich making events to helping create your own company garden, together we can engage, educate and make a difference.
We have audacious goals and dreams and we can only make it happen with partners like you. Ever want to provide Sunday dinner for the homeless of an entire city? We do. Together we can make it a reality.
Education and Outreach
Classrooms, youth groups, and any social group looking for a fun event, can sign up for a sandwich making event at a highly reduced cost. You bring the people, we'll bring everything else.

How many times do you and your family pass someone in need, but keep driving. Let us drop off Feed the Need to go bags at the end of the work and allow your family and friends to spread the love to those in need.
