We’re excited to announce a series of major enhancements to our robot dispensing functionality – coming in early April. By working closely with our robot partners – BD Rowa, Avonnex, Omnicell Specialty Pharmacy Services, Willach Pharmacy Solutions, and Meditech – and actively listening to feedback from customers using automation, we’re delivering these swift and advanced improvements. 🔎 Robot Mapping – Search by Name You can now search for drugs by name on the Robot Mapping screen – not just by GTIN/EAN. This makes mapping faster, easier, and more intuitive. 📦 2DRX Barcode Scanning – Mapping & Stocking Support for scanning 2DRX barcodes has been added in two key areas: - Mapping: Quickly find and map drugs by scanning their 2DRX barcode. - Stocking: Use 2DRX barcode scans to stock your robots more efficiently. 📊 Stock Screen – Unit Quantity Display You’ll now see both unit and pack quantities displayed on the stock screen, giving you more clarity when managing robot stock levels. 💊 Dispense Form Enhancements (NEW Robot Type Only) We’ve redesigned how robot dispensing works in the dispensing form: - Robot Stock Visibility: A new column shows whether the drug is stocked in your robot. - Virtual/Actual Drug Selection: Choose whether to send the VMPP (Generic) or AMPP (Brand) code to the robot. - New Robot Location Dropdown: Easily select where to send the item within the robot, including a “Do Not Send to Robot” option. We’ve removed the old checkbox in favor of this streamlined dropdown. 📉 Split Pack Dispensing You can now dispense split packs and see the corresponding unit quantity stored in the robot – essential for accurate inventory and efficient dispensing. ⚖️ VMPP/AMPP Selection You now have control over which drug code (Generic vs Brand) is sent to the robot. The system displays robot stock availability based on your selection, allowing for smarter dispensing decisions. ⚙️ Ready to Upgrade or Add a Robot? 🚀 Exciting Updates Coming to RxWeb early April! 🚀 We’re excited to announce that a new RxWeb update is on the way, bringing enhanced functionality, improved workflows, and new features designed to make pharmacy operations more efficient. What’s New? ✅ Bulk Claiming (Scan2Claim) – Our new Scan2Claim feature will allow you to scan multiple prescriptions at once, instantly identifying which have been successfully claimed and flagging any that need attention. This will save valuable time and reduce manual effort when handling NHS claims.   ✅ Dispensing Robot Enhancements – We’ve improved how RxWeb integrates with dispensing robots. Our new interface now provides functionality for 2D barcodes, split packs and generic or brand choice. We have also added the ability to search for medicines by name (rather than just barcode). Users of BD Rowa , Avonnex, Omnicell, Willach Pharmacy Solutions, Meditech robots will all benefit from these new efficiencies!   ✅ Smarter Clinical Checks – Patient safety is at the heart of this update. New automated safeguards include an age check, allowing you to set a threshold where prescriptions for younger patients are automatically flagged for pharmacist review. A new configuration option will allow you to set whether only a pharmacist can authorise scripts. We've added an alert for users if a prescription contains a medication from the excluded drugs list. Plus, we've enhanced the Patient Notes feature to include 'Item Specific Notes', which will remain visible and automatically print for relevant future prescriptions, keeping patient care consistent.   ✅ Private Scripts API – We're thrilled to be introducing our Private Scripts API in this release window! This new API paves the way for exciting partnerships and integrations with third-party vendors, bringing us closer to a seamless prescription workflow for online generated private scripts. ✅ Refined User Experience – Updates to the home screen, clinical checking layout and improvements to the bag labels. ✅ Bug Fixes & Performance Upgrades – System improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and security. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to making RxWeb the best PMR system for UK pharmacies.
