Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Diane Zelaya. My love affair with hair started in my native home of Austin, Texas, in 2004. Since then, I have been fortunate to have gained experience as a Bridal Specialist, Make-up artist and Hairstylist in theatre and film. The beauty industry has been an amazing adventure!
I believe the only way to stay on top of my game and provide you with the best service is to stay educated. Styles and trends change, therefore classes change. This is how I am confident that I can deliver you high-quality cut and color services.
In 2016 I decided to move my passion to the West coast. I was inspired by and fell in love with the culture and beauty of the Bay. After working hard, I was finally able to establish my profession in the heart of downtown Old Oakland. My salon suite is located inside the courtyard of the historic Swans Market building, conveniently located near excellent dining and shopping. I look forward to meeting you!

Because of the complexity of hair color services, do not hesitate to contact me directly with questions or concerns about any hair service. It is crucial to book properly to create your desired look. Please take note that it is advisable to book at least two (3) weeks in advance.

Do not be alarmed if the door is locked upon arrival. Checking in via text at (510) 214-2550 is recommended.
DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT
Face masks are welcomed but not required.
My co-workers and I are following strict sanitation and disinfecting procedures all day long. These procedures include but are not limited to:
Frequent hand washing
Disinfecting chairs, styling stations, tools, door handles/knobs, and all high touch areas
Limiting capes and smocks are one-time use only, per client
In addition, if you have been ill, or have been exposed with any virus please reschedule your appointment.

Location in Swans Market
Swans Studios is located inside the courtyard of Swans Market. It is not a storefront. You can enter through the green gates off of Clay St or 9th St. There is also one entrance when walking thru the Swans Market from Washington St.

The Parking Situation
Use or download the Parkmobile app! This is a great stress reliever tool used for all metered parking in Oakland. Pay or add more time with your phone at any location. 1 hour parking is available on 9th St on block of Swans Market. 2 hour parking is available on Clay St on the block of Swans Market. There is also garage parking available in the surrounding area.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations less than 48 hours are subject to a 100% charge of scheduled service.
First time clients with services of 100$ or more will be required to pay a non refundable 50% deposit (of chosen service) to hold reservation.
Deposits are applied towards requested hair service.
3+ hour hair services require a 50% deposit to hold appointment and require a 72 hour cancellation in order to avoid NON-REFUNDABLE penalty.
Once a client No-Shows, client will be required to make a 50% non refundable deposit (which will be applied ONLY to service of REQUESTED date) to hold future appointments.
