Arts and Culture

Peterborough has a thriving arts and culture scene supported through community organizations, entrepreneurs and Municipal services such at the Art Gallery of Peterborough and the Peterborough Public Art Program. The City's rich history is preserved and archived with the support of the Peterborough Museum and Archives and the Heritage Office, which includes Heritage Property Designation and the Heritage Conservation District.

Recreation Services

Recreation Services offers programs, activities, memberships, and facility rentals. Learn about the Peterborough Marina, the Sport & Wellness Centre, community arenas, rooms and halls. Register for programs like swimming lessons, learn to skate, dance, fitness, and and camps, or drop-in to an activity.

Parks and Trails

Our trails provides scenic routes throughout the City for pedestrians and cyclists. Our beautiful parks offer natural space, playgrounds, sports fields and courts. Some parks have pavilions available to rent. Check out our specialty parks: the Off-Leash Dog Park and the Skateboard Park are both very popular. Get out and enjoy!

Drop-ins, Programs and Camps

Recreation Services offers drop-in activities, swimming lessons, fitness and personal training, recreational and instructional sport programs, child and family programming, a drop-in youth space, and day camps during the summer, PA days and holidays.

Rent a Facility

Facilities include parks, pavilions, sport fields, courts and diamonds, arena ice and floor pads, gymnasiums, and pools. You can rent a facility for a private event, a community event, or for a sport league or tournament.

Swim and Splash

Located on beautiful Little Lake, Peterborough has two beaches, three supervised wading pools and seven splashpads for summer fun. The indoor pools at the Sport & Wellness Centre offer public swimming and lessons.
